Ah, but I think it worked well that this chapter was very Akon centered, and how he interacts with other characters-- esp with Kurotsuchi taicho. Being his captain, the guy is has an important role to play with how this all ends… Akon can’t really do much on his own, authority wise.
Also, just because of all the intense sex in the last chapter, this one is a good pull back; a nice refresher that there are other things brewing in the background besides our hot-blooded pairing!! Though I love it (with a passion, I might add!! ;D) too much sex in a fic without a storyline stringing the characters and the reader along kinda gets boring after a while. The brain really is the most important erogenous zone, for me at least! :D :D
Kira as a belligerent drunk is a good twist on his character; I haven’t read any fic that has explored that aspect of him. Well… ‘belligerent’ may be taking it too far, but maybe that the alcohol lowers his inhibitions just enough to get his more malicious or unpleasant side to show through. ^_^
I.. I actually… haven’t seen any doujins, at all really. I’ve seen a couple of ByaRen, one or two IchiIshi/ RenIchi but that’s it. Sad, huh? I dunno, they’re usually written in Japanese, so I don’t bother with them. Never seen a Hisagi/Akon doujinshi. I must be a poor, sad panda. D:
