First of all, a matador in pastels being gored by a fucking unicorn is about the best visual I've had in ages. You imagine crazy-creative things and I love you for it.
I'm happy that they've caught my interest too! My list of favorite characters (and characters I want to write) keeps getting bigger and bigger, which delights me.
I was actually hesitant about writing Gin since I've only done him twice before this (and mostly in passing). He's kind of like Mayuri for me, so out there that I constantly have to question my characterization. But hearing that he was dead on, and from a person who's written him so many times--and SO WELL--wow, what a huge compliment. Thank you! Your assessment of him is spot on, too. Gin and negative stimuli do not compute.
Bwahaha, there's a story there. Gin didn't like the way that 'Bya-chan' didn't roll off his tongue effortlessly, so I considered 'Kuya' and he immediately shortened it to 'Ku'. Which, y'know, evokes some funny thoughts for me concerning him and Rangiku.
But before this gets too long it's already too late I'll finish up by saying that your thoughts on both Gin and Byakuya were awesome, and it made me feel like I really accomplished what I set out to do. So thank you very much ^_^ ♥
