Oooooh, wow. That was great. I mean, Shuuhei sort of broke my heart into little pieces, but that's ok. That just means it was good. :p

I loved the bit about Gin opening his eyes, that was a fantastic piece of imagery. And I adored the Byakuya/Shuuhei, because I love that pairing and nobody ever seems to write it or mention it. The Shuu/Kensei and Gin/Bya undertones were also delicious.

It was interesting, because I usually see Shuuhei as more of a masochist than a sadist, but the way you wrote him here really worked for me. The combination of his need to hurt Gin and the simultaneous shame and guilt was great. There were ome really powerful images in there, and I am a total sucker for awesome imagery.

Now I am just filled with the overwhelming need to snuggle/look after Shuuhei. My poor Shuuhei.
