First off, ho. ly. shit. You seriously outdid yourself with this whole chapter, but especially that smut scene. Gawd. I always get hung up on stuff that is maybe not the point, but the atmosphere you captured there, all humid and moonlit, like being awake way too late and half-drunk and not bothering to turn on any lights so that the world shrinks down and turns into a secret and this hedonistic apathy/happiness mix overtakes everything. . .
*coughs* ANYWAY that's what it felt like to me. :P It played out like film on the brain, and OH GOD THE HEADBUTT, Grimmjow marking himself as belonging to Akon, just, gah, that was so sexy. And the tailbone scritch, YES! And Akon biting at his knee (and his neck)! And "You said 'fuck no' to having lube, and I don't want a snag on my cock from your dry ass." AHAHA, favorite line. *g* I know I was all like "well maybe you could skip it?" when it was giving you guff but I am SO glad you persevered, because this encounter said more than either of them ever would, and on top of it being their hottest one yet, I felt like their relationship really solidified here and the whole of the story feels more cohesive because of it.
Um. Looking at the other comments, I feel like something Shuuhei said or did must've gone right over my head. . .? O_o But Grimmjow's focus on his tattoo was intriguing, specifically the "softness" of his expression while looking at it. I'm not sure what to make of that but I'm keen to find out. :D
And Kira, oh. T_T His mounting instability is so palpable. His remarks just get more and more acerbic, more and more frequent as time goes on, and I grinned so hard when he finally snapped and punched Akon. Harder still when Akon called him on his "pettiness" (although it's difficult to cut someone slack when they're obviously unraveling all over the place -- and being a right asshole about it, too ;) but wasn't ~quite~ immune to it, which then led to this paragraph--
All I know is that Grimmjow is important. How I measure that importance, I'm still trying to figure out. I'm still weighing; still speculating; still computing. I have a feeling that any concrete solution to this "study" of mine is far out of reach, still, and that it will be for a long time. But, that's the exciting part. If all answers were easy, or if they were predictable, then scientists would never be stimulated for long enough to take pleasure in their experiments.
--I know we've discussed this before, but framed in Akon's voice it's just so damn. . .sweet? For Akon, I mean. Like how the headbutt was romantic as hell, and Grimmjow's surprise blowjob because he's "greedy."
