Hehe, I could no resist having Starrk look at porno while staying with the Vizard.
Generally I only ship Renji with four people. Ichigo, Byakuya, Shuuhei, and (dare I say it?) Orihime! *gasp* So I can see where you're coming from. Really this idea was all by chance, I had made a post a couple of months back when I hard writers block. I was talking with goldensprite about new pairings that might get my creative juices flowing, so I was trying to think of someone I hadn't written yet. Starrk came to mind but I couldn't think of who to pair him with. She suggested Shuuhei (which I still like the idea of) so then I thought of Renji (because thinking of Shuu inevitably leads me to Renji).
Anyway long story short it is too late the obscure thought morphed into this. The longer I thought of the Renji/Starrk possibility, the more I liked it. And like you I don't often enjoy Starrk fic either, because he's just so laid-back that it's hard to make things exciting when he's involved. But I think Renji is fiery enough to balance that ;)
