XD HAHA. I just couldn't help myself with that one. It is interesting, but sometimes (if not most, imo) for the best! It's nice to have the character fueling you, driving your fingers to type what they want instead of making them do what you want.
Oooo yes! I really do love Renji's insecure and unsure side, it makes me very endearing. I do think that it's genuine love Renji feels for Rukia, and in the romantic sense. I'm not really a fan of that pairing (I'm not a fan of Rukia/anyone, honestly) but there's no denying it. I mean there was that one scene when she was standing in the river, and Renji was staring at her all glisteny-eyed. If that isn't pining, I don't know what is...
I SHOULD HAVE LET IT REVEAL ITSELF, BUT SOMETIMES I JUST CAN'T KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT. It's totally where I was going :) I could like all kinds too, if they looked as good as Renji and Halibel! Haha!
Renji is definitely the pursuer in this. Like you said, Starrk's just a lazy ass. I can't see him having the motivation or attention span to chase after someone. At least not the way most of us would. I can see Starrk lazily sitting back and watching the same person for... well, forever, lol. But I can't see him being bold and striving to make that person his the way I can see Renji doing it. Starrk will save his alpha male tendencies for the bedroom, after Renji's managed to win him over ;D
It was Starrk's backstory with Lilynette that really won me over. Before that I just liked the way he looked, but other than that I didn't feel any strong connection to him like I did with other characters. But then came that heartbreaking story of his, and his loneliness and the wolves. That was just beyond cool. I must have a thing for animal-like characters. First Grimmjow with his cattiness, and now Starrk with the wolves.
