I'm not much of a fan of pairing Rukia up either... although once upon a time (a long, long time ago), I used to like the idea of Rukia/Ishida... I'm more open to liking RukiHime lately however! :) I don't ever see her with Ichigo, that relationship to me runs deeper than romantic love. It's like old-soul-love... like she's giving back to him what Kaien did for her-- mentors him, teaches him, in that tough-love kind of way. To me, she treats him like a kid brother who needs that combination of 'kick in the ass' and philosophical motivation. I do agree, that if I had to disillusion myself out of my slashing fantasies, that Renji does love Rukia... but I can't decide if it's a romantic love (she does mean the world to him) or a devotional-familial love (she's the only family he has so he'll do anything for her). It's probably a combination of both, actually. :)
YES. Renji or Harribel would make me switch either side! Not a question. :D
I look forward to all the wonderful doggy-chapters to come! Something about guys with animal instincts and characteristics kinda hit all my buttons too!!! :D (my kinks... the list keeps getting longer!, lol)
