The lack of decent yaoi anime I was bitching about a week ago? 

I FOUND A GOOD ONE.

No, a great one imho. The men aren't related, they act fairly manly (ok ok, there's a little crying here and there but c'mon, their story is tragic), the uke's eyes aren't taking over his face, and more importantly, THEY LOOK LIKE THEY'RE OF LEGAL AGE.

The anime is called Winter Cicada or... Fuyu no Seme in Japanese? I'm not entirely sure about the Japanese name, it's just what I see under the header.

There are three OVAs. The last OVA is by far the best, simply because of quality (and the climax ahur, suggestive pun is just wow).

You can find all three OVAs on youtube. That's where I watched it, though maybe a different site would have better versions of the first two. I'm not up for looking for such a site so I'll just leave a link to part one of the first OVA. I'm sure all of you are capable of following the bedcrumbs to the very end :)

IMPORTANT: Don't read any of the comments people leave. They're stupid and inconsiderate and give things away before you've finished the anime.

One thing I've noticed with yaoi anime is that they seem to like one of the men with dark hair and eyes that are either blue or teal, paired with someone with light hair (blond, honey brown, etc) and like...HONEY BROWN eyes. Just something I noticed.

On a side note, I got to check out an OVA for FAKE and I very much enjoyed it. The actual art wasn't super pleasing but the overall character development was too my liking. Dee was just the shit, srsly. Can anyone tell that I have a thing for obnoxious men in anime/manga? Which is bizarre because men like that usually annoy me to no end in real life.

Ok, my Grimmjow nearly shit himself over this. The characters I write watch youtube videos with me, what can I say? It'd be like Zangetsu watching youtube videos with Ichigo, from inside his miiiiiind. More disturbing is the fact that now the song "Cats on Mars" has become a sort of theme for my Grimmjow... scary? I can't decide.

Winter Cicada is actually an OVA inside an OVA.

The original OVA is called Embracing Love and is the story of how the 2 mains in WC (actors Kyousuke Iwaki and Youji Katou) meet while fighting for roles in a movie (not WC, but something else) and the relationship they end up having. It's really good and there is a manga for Embracing Love as well. Embracing Love is 2 OVA's long and the manga is considerable longer.

Have you heard of a manga/anime called Junjo Romantica? It's good although the manga is further along than the anime. I'm actually not sure if the anime is going to continue for another season (there's 2 seasons available right now).

Whoops! I'm sorry, sweets! I should have mentioned this anime (and the manga? Is completely awesome too!) Unfortunately, it looks like they took Haru wo Daite Ita (Embracing Love) down of mangafox (funny, it was there a few days ago), but some of her other work is there as well. Her drawing style is gorgeous, and her storylines amazing. (For me there has to be both).

Naw it's alright! I preferred the storyline (and art) of Winter Cicada, but Haru wow Daite was good too. Except for that cousin/lover part with the director... I cannot escape the incest D: I'm starting to get used to it.

I really want to. I've kind of hit some writing blockage with this Byakuya/Gin I started the other night. Stuck on a few ideas and it seems to be interrupting my entire flow. I've looked through the prompts and I'm just waiting for something to come to me. Hopefully before it's over, ne? I'd feel lame if I didn't get you at least ONE sentence for your birthday.

Yeah, the FAKE art is pretty dated, but it's a classic, good, non-offensive Yaoi manga/ova (which I haven't watched yet). Dee IS the shit. He cracks me up but at the same time you can see that he really, really cares about Ryo, which I love.

I'm glad you found something you like though! I'm going to have to check this out as well. *plots*

And yes. There must always be contrasting hair/eye colour in yaoi couples. Always. Just for the aesthetics. It's hillarious, but I approve of it immensly. ;)

FAKE came out in the 80's or something? Early 90's? So it's understandable that it looks that way, and that's how I could overlook it :)

I found a manga author that I'm really in love with. Miyamoto Kano does a lot of stuff centered around teenagers and twenty year olds, so it's not like 30 yr old men with little shotas -_-;; And the couples aren't related!!! I'm in love with her work though I'm not entirely sure if you'll like it, because her characters can be kind of twisted in the way they think. Still, I think you should check it out :) The sex scenes are pretty tame and non-graphic.

They all watch the youtube with me, though Grimmjow is the one who gets the biggest kick out of it and everyone else looks at him like he's a moron.

Ooooh. Awesome. I'll definately check that out. It sounds very interesting. Probably moreso that the characters are a bit twisted, because I'm weird like that. I like to know how people work, even if it's in a typically 'twisted' way. *shrugs*

Mmm, Winter Cicada and Haru wa daiteita are awesome, they're like yaoi classics I guess, next to Kizuna and all ^__^ Though another really great/mind-blowing yaoi OVA is Sex Pistols. The first OVA was released a couple of days ago and most of the character, with an exception of a few she-males are actually men XD I've read the manga before watching the first OVA and it left me in a backstreet alley, cum leaking out of my brain...I was mindfucked ^^ That's how good it is, though at first it doesn't give off that impression ;__; So if you wanna check it out, which I greatly recommend you do, the torrent file is over at aarinfantasy.com and the manga can be read over at mangafox XD

Holy fucking shit!!! I really didn't know what to expect when I first started reading Sex Pistols, but then I became obsessed with it and read all available chapters within twenty-four hours. It's truly amazing *__* So many good characters and even the boyish ukes managed to grow on me.

Thank you for recommending it! I'm so thankful :D I've seen clips of the OVA and the art looked gorgeous compared to the actual manga, but I haven't been able to track down the entire episode ;_;

Awesome that you enjoyed!! I did too, first time I read it on my TV screen, because my laptop had been in repairs and at the time my only access to internet had been through my PS3 ^__^ Good times...good times they were ^^
Yonekuni's awesomely fierce eyes were so fuckin' GORGEOUS on my not so big TV screen, yet still bigger than that of computer screens I guess XD

I know what you mean, even though Noririn is very girlish at times, he's still male...kind of...if that makes any resemblance to sense ^^

Yonekuni is my favorite character, omg is he gorgeous with the shorter hair. *breathes heavily*

Kunimasa is a very close second. He is just too adorable for words, in all his dysfunctional ways.

Shiro's moans were a bit high-pitched for me personally (I have a weird thing about that) but I liked Yonekuni's heavy breathing and sweaty face, haha XD
