I've learned to tolerate Shuuhei's tattoos because of the meaning behind them. I used to hate that silver stripe because it was pointless and ugly to me, until I read your glorious fic. Then the stripe had as much meaning in my head canon as the 69 :) But yea, tolerance is as far as it goes... Most of the time I try to imagine him with just the scars, lol.

Depends on what I'm writing and who I'm writing it for, but I usually just have them black ('cause I can't tell what they are, either -- his irises are so small!). I kind of like the idea they're blue-black or indigo or a super-deep purple, though, when they're really closely scrutinized.

I think Gypsy told me in one of our first exchanges why her Shuuhei's eyes were green, but I can't find the comment now. . .I remember I thought the reasoning was sound enough, though, and in my own head (or possibly hers? 'cause I really can't remember) it fits with the "cypress" in his name. But I like them with a bluish cast, too, because then he fits into the primary color scheme with Renji and (hazel-eyed) Izuru.
