Summary: Wah, oh my god! I totally forgot to edit the summary from the last thing I wrote. Ah, well this is just Matsumoto Rangiku going on about Ichimaru Gin ;)

A/N: A very short drabble, but I like it nonetheless. It is my first official het, so these be milestones, people. I shall contend that the shortness of this is because it's het, and that I must take baby steps into these mysterious waters XD
The ginger-haired lieutenant of Tenth Division had learned long ago that Ichimaru Gin was the epitome of winter. With his snow-fallen hair, his pale skin stretched over thin bone and muscle like a molted tree, and his cold, cold fingers. Those fingers would touch her late at night, when the moon was hidden behind clouds and it was nothing but creeping shadows in the quiet of their room. Those fingers would skirt along her flesh and it rose in their wake, her fine hair standing on end and bumps breaking along her body.
She did not know if it was the cold or the want for more that made her shiver. Either way he would take it to be acquiescence, and soon thin lips would join the fingers. They weren't as cold but they were chapped, and they still breathed winter over her still form. She would close her eyes and murmur his name, her slim fingers curling around the sheets. She could feel his grin in the dark, against her waist, against her breast; painting cunning delight across her chilled flesh.
She would hear the pleased laughter hiding deep inside his chest, while on the outside he remained silent.
The only time that he was warm was when he moved inside her. When she would wrap her legs around his too-thin waist, and her thighs would rest against his parchment-pale skin, and she'd arch her hips to meet his. His tongue would fall against her bared throat, as hot as the thing that was inside her, and she'd bathe in those small touches. She'd relish the rare moment that he could burn instead of freeze.
Until his hands found her hips, and his fingers bit like an icy wind; like the tips of a snow-covered mountain.
Until his eyes opened just long enough to meet hers, bleeding sanguine beneath the moon.
People often said that Ichimaru Gin was like a fox, but Matsumoto Rangiku envisioned a weasel instead. A sly predator that danced before its prey, on the tips of its paws, bouncing back and forth. A happy killer that liked to hypnotize the rabbit, luring it with its playful display, snow kicking around them.
Towards the end Gin would pin her down, his hands holding her wrists on either side of her head while his tipped back. His eyes would close once more and there'd be a look of childish joy on his face, before his lips fell open on a soft part. He would breath an exultant cry as he came inside her, and Rangiku would quiver at the warmth of his release, falling not too far behind.
She always hoped that his seed would stay warm inside her, but always it leaked from between her thighs to cool on the sheets, like everything else that was Ichimaru Gin.

Date: 2010-03-08 08:39 am (UTC)I enjoyed that. I'm quite curious about Gin and Rangiku's relationship, and this was a good way to start pondering it. It must be Gin's smile I think. I wanna know how he can keep it on all the time, because it would tire me out if I were him.
lol, don't worry about writing het. I read it sometimes. One of my favourite fics is het.... well, actually it's mostly genderswap, so that probs doesn't count. :P

Oh, if I smile too long my cheeks start to hurtI read het sometimes too, even if I'm more of a yaoi fan! It's growing on me, about a year ago I would have abhorred it. What fic was the genderswap one, I'm curious?

It wasn't a Bleach fic, it was FFVII. Girl!Reno/Cloud. Amazing. Rather graphic.

One thing that Orihime has going for her, is that she's really pretty XD I don't hate her like a lot of fandom does, even though the 'Kurosaki-kun!' has gotten old. I just wish she'd get more character development.
Go ahead and send me the link! I think I'm familiar enough with Reno and Cloud to get into it.
Have you checked FF.net? That site is easier to navigate, so you might find some Nnoi/Nel(no subject)

This was so fantastic. Gin does definately have a winter type quality to him. I told one of my friends once that he looks like a full moon night in January. All pale, cold, your become trapped by the beauty, and then the bite sinks in and you're too suprised to do anything than watch the breath crystallize in the air...
I've always seen Gin/Ran done where Gin has a different side to himself when he's with her. While that definately appeals to the romantic in me, I think that this version-- the cold, and the mysterious, and the plain... off-ness that Gin carries never changed, Rangiku just didn't care about it-- is so much more likely. Rangiku does everything she can for the people she loves, and if she thought for a moment that surrendering herself to Gin-- or to what Gin became at Aizen's hands-- would make him happy, or make him stay, she'd do it without question.
Guh. Love.

Date: 2010-03-08 10:11 pm (UTC)That's such a beautiful description of Gin, and it fits my head canon for him perfectly. His strangeness draws you in and then you can't get out of it. That's the thing I like most about him.
Can you believe that I'm not even a huge fan of Gin/Rangiku? I mean I like it, but I'm not crazy about it like I am with other pairings (KenShuu). But after writing that fic with Shuuhei, I wanted to write how things were between Gin and Rangiku minus Hisagi. I think that Gin is different with Rangiku than he is with a lot of others but he's still... off with her, isn't he? Just like you said. I think that no matter who Gin is around he'll always be off because that's just who he is as a person. I can easily see Rangiku being frustrated with that because she showed as much in the manga, but at the same time she seems to accept it and continues to care for him deeply.

For me there needs to be something kind of dark and twisted with het to make me like it. I don't care for the sappy stuff between a man and woman, it's just too...cliched.
I KNOW. I want to see that Gin/Rangiku reunion, dammit. Their relationship in the manga is something I've always been interested in, because Gin is such a mystery but if he's close to anyone besides Aizen, it's Matsumoto.

Other yaoi pairings... you know, as I say, there are none that I will die-hard read. I'll read a lot with Ichigo in them (GrimmIchi's a good one, and oh I wish there was more HichiIchi out there... jeez though, really anything with Ichigo I'll consider), some ShuuRens or ByaRens, though not most of the time because I'm so into Ren with Ichi, it really depends... very rarely an ulqui/grimm will catch my attention, uh... that's everything I can think of off the top of my head XD Oh! And one more, I'll consider Kenpachi with just about anyone too, though that has to be done a certain way for me to like it. (You linked me to that Ken/Ren DJ right?? Assuming I'm remembering correctly THANK YOU AGAIN *drools*)

And Gin/Bya was a past thing that I didn't go into detail with, at least not for that fic. Gin/Byakuya is a pairing I've grown really fond of and I want to do a lot more with them (maybe even some smut) whenever I get the time. You probably don't like Byakuya with Renji because of the OTP, right? Hehe, I never used to like ByaRen either but it's growing on me. Still, in my mind I pair Renji with Starrk, so that leaves Byakuya with... well, many options. Gin, Kira, Hisagi, Ukitake?

The compare Gin to a fox in the manga, but the weasel thing is my personal head canon because... well, weasels seem more playful than foxes, more devious, and that's how I view Gin :))
A LOT OF PEOPLE GOT ROBBED. Kubo, how could you ;_; I really have no idea what he's going to do with Gin not that everyone's been incapacitated... Unohana, maybe?
That would be awesome, though I think Shirosaki looks that way because he's a pure hollow soul. Vizard and Arrancar take on a 'hybrid' look because that's exactly what they are, hybrids! I'm not entirely convinced that Aizen has experimented on himself and Gin like he did with Tousen... Yes his form was hideous, but I kind of like Wonders :D
(It's not so much that I wouldn't like writing it, just that I got stuck when I tried... Didn't you have some RukiHime in that phone-sex fic with Renji and Bya?)
